Russell Bruce Hardee

Mr. Bruce Hardee, son of the late Crego and Sylvia Hardee, a native of Greenville and resident of Rocky Mount, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of July 26, 2017.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Speed Baptist Church with the Pastor Exum Marvin Harrell IV officiating. Burial will follow in the Speed Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bruce was a family man. He was best known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. The past few years he enjoyed the retired lifestyle but he had previously shown great expertise in the auto industry with the title of body shop manager, and service manager.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Christopher Ryan Brantley, and a brother, Douglas Hardee.

He is survived by wife, Lucy of the home; daughter, Cindy Brantley and husband, Jesse, of Momeyer; granddaughters, Colleen Alford and husband, Bradley, of Rocky Mount, Chelsea Brantley, of Rocky Mount; grandson, Connor Brantley, of Momeyer; brothers, Charles Hardee and wife, Carol, of Greenville, Calvin Hardee and wife, Marian, of Ayden; sisters, Hope Smith and husband, Cleveland, of Greenville, Letitia Willis and husband, James, of Ayden, Judy Jones and husband, Redden, of Winterville, and Debbie Adams and husband Kenneth, of Winterville.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday from 7:00-9:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.
